Event headgear always replaced normal headgear in appearance, when toggled on.

I'm aware of that. But since we got decorations/accessories rather than masks, i hoped to be able to display both ears and standard headgear.

For those who didnt get a hat, perhaps related the following is.
I just noticed in LA, that for a player, ToT bags and the hat were dropped on the ground.
I presume then they were not auto added to that players inventory.
And if said player logs off/looses connection or rezones (without picking them up first) these items (on the ground) will be lost.

The game can't put things in your inventory if you don't have space, so they end up on the ground.

I wonder what those earthquakes are about that we experience during MTK's visits? O_o
Love the neko ears, and the steampunk goggles look good with the female court outfit.
Now, if I could change my main's hairstyle without having to spend $10.

Just this once I'm going to chime in and declare that I'm very content with this year's festival headgear. For one thing, I think they suit my mesmer. I'm delighted to see that someone else also thought of this:
It's a shame I can't actually wear them like that in-game.

Fun fact: "Cat girls/boys" did not originate in anime, neither did goggles for that matter.

I think he's aiming the anime remark, that alot of people who like the cat ears, also like anime. Don't worry. This isn't uncommon on the internet or any online game for that matter.
Goggles are again pure waste.

Seriously. Cat ears and goggles definitely pre-date anime. And steampunk isn't exactly a popular anime theme, anyway - it's more prevalent in western comics.
As ever, though, people have to complain about something. Generally without having a clue what goes into making game assets.
I want the witch hat but will never have it as it's from before I played GW. So the cat ears are the first event mask I've actually cared about other than that. So, yay kitty ears <3

Meh. A bit of a dud for the hats. Cat ears are cute. Spectercles? Who cares. It looks most of the hats, etc. will now be duds because Anet wants you to pay for the much cooler looking costumes.
The Halloween costumes are the first ones I've bought because I just couldn't resist. A headless hat or flaming pumpkin head would have been very cool festival hats.

I like anime, not a fan of either of the masks (I will let that term stand for now) this year.
I am sure there are still a lot of people who would like the witches hat or a HAT instead of things like face paint and such......(including me)

Not too fond of the glasses, the cat ears could be worse though. At least I might wear these hats on occasion, as opposed to the hats from the last 3 years past.

Please punch yourself since I can't do it from here.
These goggles have nothing to do with Naruto.
If anything, it's you know.. MAD SCIENTISTS aka Asura related.
